Slightly Ahead

February 05, 2019 by Dan Gellert
Thomas Wilmer Dewing

We destroyed pesky demons
then they returned.
Wading through territories
around the soul.
Small factions of laughter
hiding right there.
Sounding long sirens
next to small joys.

Brace for long harvests
ending with blooms.
Baking with more yeast
for longer noons.
Can't stress about perfect
silently pronounced.
We build histories
for showing our own.
